I love the syncopation and the speeding and slowing of your timings - a bit like a freight train with the cars clunking as it gets pulled from a stop out of the station: speed-slow-speed-slow, but all with an overall intent of progress. Fun to listen to.

Nice intro, because it makes me wait for something to happen… and interesting bass in left hand, great chords in right hand……. and from 3,07 it happen what I was waiting for. This is a totally different version from what I have heard before, and impro far more away from the theme (partly) than in Manhã De Carnaval, but I could follow. Bravo! And never stop doing those nice endings, the last minute - so enjoyable, always

thank you for your comments and for listening so carefully! one great thing about Autumn Leaves (maybe it's part of what makes it so popular) is that the chord progression really comes straight out of Bach. it's a standard progression that one hears all the time in his music (of course with a B part added and some turnarounds inserted). but strangely enough this is about the only jazz standard where one sees this progression, so it's anomalous.

thank you! i wish i could play with a trio. it's been a long time since i could, and not just because of the recent craziness ... job+family can make life very complicated. hopefully someday.
