<![CDATA[Modartt user forum - Kawai VPC-1 with Roland Foot Pedals]]> https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?id=8778 Thu, 02 Sep 2021 04:08:12 +0000 PunBB <![CDATA[Kawai VPC-1 with Roland Foot Pedals]]> https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?pid=977749#p977749 Just have to say, I'm currently loving my new setup:  the Kawai VPC-1 with both the Roland RPU-3 and DP-10 foot pedals plugged into an Audiofront MIDI Expression iO.  I was able to set the VPC-1 to its Pianoteq preset curve as well as calibrate all the Roland foot pedals as expression pedals using the MIDI Expression Control software.  I just set the CC value for each pedal in the MIDI Expression software to match the Controller values listed in Pianoteq.  It works great!

While I still one day want my own Schimmel piano (no room or budget right now), this allows me to conveniently practice and even obtain high-quality recordings of where I'm at with my music.  The Pianoteq Studio Bundle gives tons of options for playback!  Currently using the Bluthner Model One as it sounds closest to my piano teacher's Schimmel Grand (that I've tried so far).  I will also end up trying the various historic pianos eventually.

So thankful for this Pianoteq Software!
