thank you for your kind words. about Schumann and this particular chorale, wow, i had no idea. i'm basically choosing them at random from the book. i know some of them made it to the Orgelbu"chlein and that some of those were arranged by Busoni and Kempff, but i didn't know about this one and Schumann. i'm really looking forward to hearing your performance!

Thank you budo, for sharing! In my opinion no chorale abuse here I think Bach is looking down from heaven and smiling, saying thank you - he was a master at improvising himself.
I like that your playing is a bit longer. (My pieces are often only about 3 minutes).

And now I have to say , what a coincidence! - Robert schumann (1810-1856) made a piano work ”Album fur die Jugend” and improvise on this same
Freu dich sehr, O meine Seele" (Rejoice greatly, O my soul) published 1849.
This is a flowing and concisely expressive work. The actual title of the piece is "Figurierter Choral" (Figured Chorale). AND, I have now an organ transcription of the same piece!! done by Pierre Gouin.

Talking about coincidence, things happen at the same time and especially in a way that is unlikely and surprising: you will probably soon hear my Organteq version of the same choral, Schuberts version, written for organ!
