Looking forward to your continued musical explorations, Stig - always entertaining and inspirational! No pressure on Solace, there's so much else to explore. I wouldn't describe anything by Joplin as 'easy', but Pineapple Rag is another one to consider - it's attractive and fairly approachable.

definitely don't give up! Solace is indeed a beautiful piece. ragtime is very different from classical music, it took me a long time to get it when i first started learning it. but it will pay off!

Renewed, revised version, different registration, more stops in bass pedal too. I wanted more ”power” in the sound. Use headphones, recorded with headphones.

Because of this baroque music, I adjusted this tuning to 415 hz. I read that the note to which Baroque ensembles tuned, varied widely at different times and in different places. (since 415hz is about a half-step below the modern standard of a 440 hz, the pitch of A 415 hz was seized on as a convenient modern ”baroque pitch” standard……wikipedia).
The pipe organ tuning fork in Versailles Chapel in 1795 is 390 Hz !
