Thank you for liking my way of playing the piece. And what a fantastic imagination! I can say it after I had to look for what it means. And…..

A pachyderm is a really big animal with really thick skin, like an elephant or a hippo. ... It comes from the Greek, but was first used to describe a class of animals by a French naturalist in 1797. He believed that thick skinned animals all belonged to the same family and categorized them together.

Nice to read that it was a Frenchman who” invented” the word for thick skinned animals

Now I’m thinking of the semi-anthropomorphic elephant (who is cruelly nicknamed "Dumbo", for his big ears, but in fact he is capable of flying by using his ears as wings) when I’m listening to my own recording Thank you!

I am indeed smiling! That's exactly it! The bass pipes are partly like a tube/sousaphone, partly like a drum, partly like stomping feet. It's a great 'punch' that also has a soft start and a soft finish.

A tool that only the organ can employ effectively, of all the 'non-digital' keyboard instruments. Super job!

dklein gave me the idea to upload one more Joplin with Organteq. He said ”I like the 'pump' of the bass - something that you can't get out of a piano's strings”. Well, I think i got a bit ”pump” here Thank you, dklein

Perhaps Joplins best waltz. As I said before, the piece combines two different styles of music, the classical waltz and the rag. Was forgotten and It was rediscovered in the 1970’s.
It was the first Joplin work since his wife Freddie's death on September 10, 1904, ten weeks after their wedding.
