There is one existing way to do something like this without any copying by using the filter option in the preset manager. If you type Prelude, you will display all the presets having such a name. Same for Recording and so forth. You can also restrain the filter to only wanted instruments by selecting them from the list at the right. The choice then applies to the menu as well.
