Julien wrote:

That's a good suggestion, we have added this feature to version 7.2.1.

Just a report-- This feature currently seems to have an issue in Linux (or rather, in the Linux Mint 20.1, XFCE edition I use).

One is able to click and drag the name of a loaded MIDI file in the main interface of Pianoteq, and the mouse pointer changes to a hand, but releasing the click does not drop the file to the desired location, and the hand cursor remains visible. The Pianoteq app remains in focus, and the mouse pointer can be moved to click various Pianoteq functions, but Pianoteq becomes unresponsive to MIDI events transmitted by one's MIDI keyboard, and other running apps including the desktop itself cannot be clicked or interacted with using the mouse. Instead, one must select File--> Quit in Pianoteq (or CTRL-q hotkey) to regain interaction with other apps and the desktop/OS.

I tried several attempts to drag a MIDI file from Pianoteq while PulseAudio, ALSA and JACK were selected as the audio/sound system (on consecutive attempts), and tried unsuccessfully to drag a MIDI file from Pianoteq to--

* Reaper DAW
* Harrison Mixbus32C DAW
* the desktop
* an open window of the file-manager browser (in this case, Thunar in the XFCE desktop).

--All of those attempts were unsuccessful, and the only resolution was to quit Pianoteq after each attempt.

So this feature, a nice addition to Pianoteq, may not presently function as intended within Linux. Hopefully other Linux users will report whether this feature works in their particular Linux distribution and desktop manager.
