Wow, a fiery performance to match the visuals - not sure when I've heard this played with quite so much passion, I just love it! And super piano sound - NY Steinway D again?

An amazing piece of music! As I have experienced, many play this piece too fast but you give it right …”go down-feeling”. To my taste. you play it very well.
Someone said that Rachmaninoff had a dream where he was at a funeral,... and at the end he find himself inside a coffin. Music was based on the dream. Well, I feel pain in this music. And have heard it in film.
I like the fast part from 1.50 and the very fast part in your playing 2,23 - 2,36, the tempo and the soundcolour, is for me breathtaking (how can you play so fast), it almost was to take my breath away, because it reminded me of when I had irregular heartbeat…But in summary, I like your playing because your playing, feeling and the music affect me  And when you want to hear a music piece again and again, then you like it. Thank you.

I heard about that legend with the funeral as well, it is very popular in english speaking auditory. I tried to find the proof for that information, but the only thing that I found was Rachmaminov's presept on how to play this piece (I am Russian so I read original).
He didn't mention the funeral there, I personally believe this is just a rumor and the piece is not about the funeral, but I guess we will never know
Rachmaninov lived as a child in a town with a lot of churches with the bells. You can clearly find these bells sounds in this piece, these chords are very similar in their sonority to his most famous piano concerto. I have associations with something revolutionary and religiously at the same time in this piece, but again, this is just me.
