Just upgraded from version 5 to 7 as I want to start playing more piano again, and because I hoped that the new Windows Audio Low Latency Mode could be useful.
However, in this mode there is always a fixed samplerate (48 kHz in my case, maybe taken from the global setting?) and a fixed latency of 10 ms that cannot be changed. This is the case for both output devices I have.
How exactly should I understand the name "Low Latency" if I can't set a low latency here? Am I doing something wrong? With 10 ms, it is definitely too slow for me.

(BTW, I know that with ASIO or with Windows Audio in Exclusive mode I can achieve low enough latency. Just trying a new sound setup now.)

I don't know if this will be helpful, but whenever I want to run audio apps on a Windows box, I consult this document.  I know that using ASIO, or ASIO4All, is one of the top recommendations.  Perhaps some of it will help?

With some audio interface we can have other settings (on an audio-interface control box). Then the Yamaha-Steinberg driver can tune an other latency setting but not all interfaces have this setting.

Note that my Steinberg UR22 can be used with a 4 or 5ms output latency... and my N1X with the same driver and parameters, 10ms !
