True, but you asked for something that has built-in sounds as well. Casio does, and they aren't all that bad.

Thanks for the help! The SP250 is more than twice as much so probably out of my price range but there are other possibilities. Others have advised against this keyboard on another site I posted on so I'm going to wait, I'm currently considering a Fatar VMK-188 or a Casio CDP100. Both around the £350-400 mark The Casio probably isn't as good a keyboard and certainly won't be as well made but it does have built in sounds. I don't have a laptop to run Pianoteq on so a board with sounds has some advantages. Still thinking it over, thanks again!

It will definitely be better than your current controller

Though, if you can afford to have a financial stretch to Korg SP250, which has RH3 mechanics (the same as on M3-88, M50-88, and the new SV-1 models) - it's one of the best graded weighted actions currently available on the market. I was really surprised when I tried it. I certainly recommend it!

I've found a second hand SP200 which I'm considering buying (£250) but I won't be able to test it with Pianoteq so I wondered if anyone had tried one of these as a midi controller? I know the midi features are very basic but that's OK I just want to know how it plays! I'm pretty much a beginner (currently using a semi weighted M-Audio 61 key controller) so any advice or thoughts would be welcome!

Thanks for any advice!
