Maybe it's better to morph some isntruments than creating a mix of many instruments together. Sometimes, for example, a orchestra of percurssio can sound too noisy with many playing at same time. With morphing you got a cleaner result than a percurssion orchestra, and at same time more interesting than a percursion instrument alone, using maybe two or three morphed variants.

Interesting video... piano with option to harpsichord-like sound.

I have being suggesting this for pianoteq for quite a time, the ability to pluck piano strings and hammer harpsichord strings.

(I did Erard 1922 + Blanchet Harpsichord + Concert Harp to fit what Ravel would likely have used, but I can't get an FXP uploaded to the corner--there's a section for PTQ 7 but it's not accepting files and I also don't know if the morphing is fully shareable yet.)
The only tricks with it right now are that the harp doesn't damper when morphed with the piano or harpsichord and when morphing, I can't seem to layer and break it into treble and bass sections like the original can (but that could just be me being new to the interface).

Another one is a dynamic one, obtained by moving in real time the slider while listening to the MIDI file. This is a short chorus from the extraordinary St-John Passion by J.S Bach that I had the (difficult) pleasure of singing in the past. It is supposed to depict an angry crowd tearing clothes apart, but for me it has always sounded extremely joyful, like a bunch of people playing with a balloon. I moved the slider so as to simulate the theme being bounced around. Again, I used the Kalimba, Vibraphone and Steel Drum.

Yeah, really exceptional - low velocities give such resonant depth. One of the presets I really enjoy turning up volume, and playing softly.

Good combinations realized in Mistheria's vid.

Also, really good to see the Steinway D "New Age" preset used in that way.. it's a fantastic basis for room filling pad-like layering IMHO (as well as a gorgeous preset by itself - I believe Niclas has much credit in the New Age preset's creation).

Thank you so much Fleer, it's excellent hearing what people are doing with the new tools and astonishing what's now possible.
