"In Pentatonic Mode (for Piano)" by Hugues Bedouelle is entirely written in the pentatonic scale (1,3,6,8,10), which is palindromic (symmetrical around D = 2 and Ab = 8) and corresponds to the black keys of the piano. A short theme is presented at the beginning of the piece then developed by canonic imitation and permutation (prime, inverted, retrograde and inverted-retrograde forms). The score was interpreted with the K2 Grand Piano of Pianoteq in Studio Recording BA mode.
https://soundcloud.com/hugues-bedouelle/76hb3
