I would to know how to get the attack to have more bite especially around the bass - mid notes rather than that spongy feeling and sound you get from default. That is the only thing for me that really let's pianoteq down.

i really enjoyed this video myself. i really like watching the experts take us through the software.

personally i would like to see the process of building a preset "to spec." e.g. someone posts, "i really like the piano sound in this recording of X by Y, how can i get it?." typically before long a reasonable approximation appears on the forum! it's a mystery i would really like to be able to understand.

+1. I think a lot of people will appreciate more Pianoteq how-to videos like this one.
That tip about keeping the output level low is so important, as I've discovered. It's all too easy to run into distortion problems if the output is too high.

Thank you TMYoung this is really invaluable especially for me. There have been a number of times where I have been really inspired by what I have played with Pianoteq but had to use a different VST when mixing because it just didn't sound right with all of the rest of the instruments.
I love Pianoteq and for me that has become one of the its weakest aspects so I am glad someone has done something like this as it really helps a lot, thank you.

I look forward to future videos hopefully as Pianoteq needs them as there isn't a lot out there at all.

David.
