Well, that's a nice quote, I like it. Pianoteq in itself is a really good product, don't get me wrong on that; it offers way more options than most other piano VSTs; it also was one of the first virtual pianos that I ever tried but the first one that I actually liked, so it holds a special place in my mind. From time to time I still use raw Pianoteq for my enjoyment, and it's always a blast.

Of course it's nicer if you have excellent raw materials (such as Pianoteq). But I like it that Shikopaleta is mixing things in a creative way.

Have only one criticism, no need for sample piano sounds. Sampled pianos are totally lifeless. PIANOTEQ especially PIANOTEQ PRO is more than adequate. It fits practically any requirement. You just have maybe to give it a chance. My advice, learn about the parameters as thoroughly as you possibly can. Many have yet to scratch a surface even.
However, if you ever decide to develop a simple interface to make more photorealistic renders, I know a potential customer. Right now I use SeeMusic. Although, I've seen none better than yours, really...
Thank you! I do have plans to release it in the future, right now it's just a side project of mine; while it is completely functional as of now, it lacks a UI. we'll see what I can come up with.

]]>This time is the famous Ballade no 1 from Chopin.
Pianos used:
- A sampled Yamaha
- Pianoteq's Steinway B
Both pianos are mixed to sound like one with the overall tone being from the sampled piano and using the Steinway B to brighten it up as well as adding extra resonance and the "thumpiness" that it has. I have been liking a lot this piano mixing technique, works very well with classical music.
