Yeah Fleer, pretty damn cool

I've banged on for a long time here (in part really hoping to help experimental modern musicians find it) about how Pianoteq is the best digital piano tool to work with in a DAW and still feeling chuffed that Brian Eno is enjoying it so much.

Thinking of his piano based works with his brother Roger Eno (and Dan Lanois was also a great part of Apollo btw) - I can't wait to hear in which ways they might incorporate Pianoteq.. in times past, it was default to use a real piano recording (for their kinds of processing) - but Eno's always pushing things around in both MIDI and audio, so Pianoteq kind of jumps a gate in that workflow I imagine (as it did in mine). No longer do I use pure or hybrid sampled pianos, even if it were just because you cannot do as freely what you can in MIDI with Pianoteq. But PTQ wins out on so many levels - we have read all this before though

Just imagining Roger getting his home piano fit out with a rail and Pianoteq and sending Brian his tunes.. instead of all the studio and audio recording and big files etc. It made an inordinate difference when I realised Pianoteq was so capable, with so many piano sounds etc.. not that I never want a real piano in my life but Pianoteq does give us a whole collection to inspire ourselves and record with (files so small it's a miraculous thing in this time of bloatware and 100Gigabyte wait times).

Kind of wild and I do really feel strongly that others who are fascinated by what Eno's about will follow the endorsement and join us in appreciating it. Modartt to me is a place filled with genius and genuine marriage of art and science - and I know Philippe has been at pains to satisfy this demanding modern artist segment.. and so very successfully IMO. It's been perfect for my purposes for a long while now and assuredly will improve, they never seem to stop building in even more worthwhile physics based realism.

I've espoused most of these same things (and praise for the genius of Pianoteq's creation) and it's excellent to hear this echoed by someone with such a wonderful presence in music, hoping to see others who make modern music adopt Pianoteq as their new obvious-fav piano.

Marvelous to feel so proud of Modartt for the incredible work of scientific art, and for me, this is inspiring news. Brian Eno has been one of my foundational inspirations (not just in terms of music, but in thinking re music and beyond).
