I'm sure you will like it.
It seems to be light, with thin strings, a bright and fluent sound, a very long lasting sustain compared to the pianos of the late 19th century.

If I remember correctly...
It wasn't possible to update the model within a major release of the kivir instruments (mics I think). Then the Kremsegg came out which featured a vintage Bechstein as well and you know the rest of the story.

I use it on a regular basis since i discovered it. It sounds so lovely.

Maybe they would've lost a selling point for Kremsegg 2 (the Bechstein 1899), or maybe they did not want to confuse people with another Bechstein from that era.

Recently, looking for news available in the user's download, I found in the Legacy corner a true precious jewel that was abandoned there: C. Bechstein (1896). Isolated with a unique preset in the package, without descriptions or satisfactory comments. Really mysterious!

I say "precious jewel" because, really, his sound is fantastic, excellent playability, pleasant to hear and feel. But I didn't understand why he was there in the Legacy corner and not part of the current KIVIR package.

Also, I don't know where it came from, which update was discontinued (Pianoteq 2.0, I believe) and why it was dropped from the main package.

The fact is that I use it and it is among my favorites. Does anyone else know him? Does anyone use and admire it? What do you know about him?
