i assume that they can't call it "Wurlitzer" because of trademark restrictions. for example they are authorized to market some models under their names (like Steinway, Steingraeber). companies are picky about stuff like this. as another example they say "Bechstein Digital Grand" and not just "Bechstein," to indicate that their model was produced from samples of a Bechstein piano.

anyway, i am also a Linux user and i have been nothing but happy with Pianoteq. they definitely are building their software with us in mind. i have all the electric piano models (rhodes, wurlizter, and the hohner package), and think they're outstanding.

Omg, you're abolutely right ! I didn't seen this.
I think that Pianoteq should gain a lot of users if "you" (I mean Pianoteq) publish this information on instruments pack pages: http://pianoteq.fr/electric. In this page, there's no "Wurlitzer" or "W 200" keywords. This is quite bad in term of SEO. I'm searching for a Wurlitzer emulator (or sampler) for Linux since a week or so, and I was on the point to buy another VST pluging, but that is more expensive, and not for compiled for Linux. I started to investigate with Wine emulated solutions like LinVst and so ... Then I came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-kgl4ljC8E
I'm not sure if I missed somthing obvious (possible, as I'm super tired those days).

Anyway, thanks for your answer, and I hope this will help other people. (in all cases this will be good for Pianoteq SEO)

Hi, I'm new to Pianoteq, downloaded the Stage demo version for Linux today, and I was amazed ! The UI est super intuitive, features like auto-connect to Jack are time saving. The possibility to resize UI est great.

I'm planning to use Pianoteq on stage soon. And I need some Wurlitzer (200A) sound. I've seen some videos of people using Pianoteq v4 with the "Wurly" instrument that sounds great.

I searched in Pianoteq 6 and found that "Vintage Reeds W1" have a sound that is close to the old "Wurly".

So here's my question: is Pianoteq 6 "Vintage Reeds W1" the same as Pianoteq 4 "Wurly" ?
