Fascinating sound - it would be great to have this in the Pianoteq collection. I agree with you, peanut12, there is much ground to be covered in the historical area (Cristofori, square pianos, vintage uprights...) and I would certainly welcome additions. It's impossible to predict what instrument Modartt will release and when: they tend to work away quietly in the background and then unleash new developments as pleasant surprises.

well, i learned something new today. i'd never heard of a tangent piano before this. sounds very cool. certainly it seems like it would be difficult for them to build a new model for it, since apparently (according to Wikipedia) there are only about 20 in the world. i don't know the details of the modelling process, but at least for the Petrof they published a video showing the creation of the reference data using a Petrof grand in an anechoic chamber. i think they would have to their hands on one of these guys to get started. maybe there is one in the Kremsegg museum?

i would also love to see more clavichords. i don't have a lot of experience with them but the Neupert is a lot of fun.

Hello! I am new to this forum, I am sorry if this is not the place for this or if this is a silly question, but I was curious as to how new instruments are added and if it's possible to request one for future updates?

I was initially drawn to Pianoteq6 due to the abundance of historical instruments, but unfortunately, "historic" in this case is not historic enough lol. I was also wondering if there was a possibility that other even older instruments than the present fortepiano's such as clavichords, additional harpsichords and, most importantly, the tangentenflugel (or tangent piano) might be added?

I found a modern piano maker who could build a tangent-piano, they quoted me $58,000 - shipping not included. It's a bit out of my price range to say the least, and an midi-keyboard based approximation appeared to me to be the next step.
