Aha, I thought there may be something going on with the pedal, didn't think to check the pedal v.c. and Damper mode.Thanks, Gilles!

Edit: looking through the Concert Harp presets just now, I can see what Gilles means. The 'Daily' preset has a back-to-front pedal curve, with Damper mode set to 'normal'. 'Recording' has a normal pedal curve, with Damper mode set to 'reversed'. No wonder I got confused!

Saving a velocity curve made for piano also saves the pedal curve, and the harps sometimes use an inverted curve. To correct, use the Damper mode button and set it to Reversed. In fact the use of pedal curve (including the active portion) for various harp presets is not very consistent...You have to check each preset separately. This should be standardized I think.

Update: just wondered if it would still defeat the sustain if I modified one of the preset velocity curves (rather than selecting one of my saved curves). It doesn't seem to, so I'll use that as a workaround for the time being.

Version 6.6.0 (Windows). Open up one of these factory presets: Cimbalom basic, Celtic Harp daily, Concert Harp daily. The sustain is 'always on', as it should be with those instruments. But change to a custom velocity curve (not one of preset curves) and the sustain is gone. It seems that the only way to get the sustain back is to revert to the factory default instrument preset. It's got me baffled. Anybody else experienced this?
