Thanks Jake - It's a long time since I used it - and remember it as really fun and inspiring in the past and like the look of their SSL 9000k mixer emulation (I like what I have but it's a nice thing to have too).

For most things piano related, maybe their MClass Mastering Suite might be worth a try.

Mainly because that has a simple split low/high band stereo imager tool (along with other tools).

With that you can quickly pinch bass in (towards mono) to solve some flab/phasing and keep higher frequencies generally tidy or wider. I really love other mastering tools with more bands, shelves and bell curves, analog/digital emulation + different mode etc. but that might be quick and simple for that kind of thing.

With the latest version, Reason can run within DAW's, and thus all of the Reason effects and more can be put into a normal effects chain. Are there things that should go well with Pianoteq? (I have an older version of Reason, and have rarely used it, so I haven't become familiar with what it offers.)
