PBoy, you maybe want to experiment with a Pianoteq REVERB, one of the spring reverbs, having a short duration (±0.40 s), minimum Room size (affecting piano body mainly), short Pre-delay (±.001 s), and Tail/Early reflections (+15.3 dB or louder).

Perhaps to taste —a country flavor— add in some late reflections from a plugin inside your DAW! That has a loop feature!

I see you’ve posted no accompanying mp3 audio.

Anyhow, if ever at a future time you will post your results including the fxp, when you create a link to it inside a thread, it’ll become immediately available as a convenient download within that thread —and without it requiring anybody actually leaving the thread. (This is somewhat of a heads-up, possibly, towards your very next effort.)

However, you’ll have regrettably to do it in a DAW a separate application, entirely, if you would like the added convenience of going over a specific section of it repeated to you, automatically, since a loop feature —though obviously advantageous— remains something unimportant, clearly, to PIANOTEQ standalone development, including the PIANOTEQ PRO copy, purchased by the professionals who like myself indeed got it (but would likely stand to gain a lot more if the loop feature in fact were added to its higher priced interface).

Suffice to say; words aren’t in themselves unkind; although people sometimes are, indeed!

Wow, following your advice i realized that PTeq offers near endless options to model or create sounds.

Quite easy to get lost or carried away in the process ... especially on a first attempt ,,,*-)

Anyway, i posted my best shot so far in the FXP corner.

Close but no cigar?

Is there a way to loop a midi file during editing / modeling to immediately hear the effect of parameter changes - without having to input notes manually?

Yeah you can try this on most any piano. Just boost that treble. Can try with timbral EQ but also EQU3 effect as well.

Unfortunately i don't own the YC5 pack yet.

Until i do, perhaps the Bechstein or the Steinways could be used as a base?

On the YC5, maybe adjust parameters Unison width, Octave stretching, Direct sound duration, Hammer hardness, Spectrum profile, Hammer noise, Strike point, Soundboard, String length, Sympathetic resonance and most importantly —perhaps along with Direct sound duration— Duplex scale and Blooming before any equalization is applied.

Otherwise, PIANOTEQ is missing a piano's parameter —a possible yet unknown or still unperceived factor!

Edit: A delete (post) option is now missing, although!

Sounds like YC5 could be the closest, add a decent amount of compression and some treble boost EQ, also reduce the Dynamics slider.

I like the sound of this piano, too. The hammer-ons are particularly good. Do I know how to recreate the sound?. Well, no, but I hope we can all experiment to see if we can get close.

Hi,

i like a certain piano sound very much and wonder if it can be reproduced somehow with Pteq Pro.

Any ideas or modeling suggestions? Which instrument could be used etc.?

Also, i'd like to be able to play in a style like in the sample (i'm still a beginner, self-taught).

Perhaps some of you guys know a tutorial or the like that could help to achieve this?
