At a glance (or automated in gig software) you will be able to safely load whichever settings and range state you need without having to consider or alter freeze params if you don't want to, esp. while in mid gig.
Thought about how Beethoven would enjoy extended range esp. Broadwood or the Walter.. makes my day that we have been given his dream of a larger piano, within realms of aural possibilities of those early makers, in this way by Modartt - always thankful for the delight in enjoying these possibilities and realities with Pianoteq.

Yes, it is optional, simply click on the +- button to the left of the User Interface keyboard to switch between original and extended range. The whole instrument is updated accordingly, including the sympathetic resonances.

One way around it is to just not play those notes... just a crazy thought I know.

any way many thanks for a big step in the right direction......We just uploaded KIViR.ptq and bells.ptq in the user area, with an 88 keys extended range. Hence now the extension should be complete, all instruments have at least an 88 keys extended range. Make sure you have the latest Pianoteq engine update.

No, "keyboard range" is not included in the Stage freeze menu. But the extension works.

When you can manage to extend the pianos to 105 notes,it should be possible to extend the range for the'mallet-boys' by at least one octave.
It's sometimes frustrating to improvize on a resized 88 keys controller.
If there are other users who feel the same limitation while performing ,let you here..........
I like to repeat again that pianoteq is the most playable electronic instrument I ever tried............
