I started using a pair of generic chinese near field monitors (re branded nady sm250a). But now I'm using an old Mini Hi-Fi Component System (Sony MHC-DX2) which once you remove the effects (bass, EQ, etc) sound better than expected (a little bright)...

I'm using Bose L1 Model 2 with the ToneMatch and using it as the USB Speaker. I bought this pair back 10 years ago just for music playback, no live music at all. Then I found PianoTeq by accident last year in September, hooked it up to my old MIDI Controller then hit a note and had instant Ear to Ear grin. I haven't stopped playing it
since.

I'd get a Bose L1 Compact if you're on a budget, It'll blow your mind.

https://youtu.be/lxlJjcKJO9c

I may be able to get by with the HS5 or even smaller.

I’m interested in hearing what you all are using for sound systems for your Pianoteq setup. In particular, if anyone is using the Bose S1 Pro. I hear that this monitor is especially good at reproducing acoustic type sounds. This makes it a very attractive choice for things like Pianoteq and I’ll have the opportunity to test one soon (I’ll post what I find here when I do)

Thanks,
Norman
