I suggest push for a monophonic (or almost monophonic sound), use the condition slider to taste, heavily roll off the top and the bottom and reduce dynamic range (check out YC5 Vintage preset EQ for reference) . Perhaps also use a velocity curve to get a punchy sound with ease.
I would think the go to options would be the U4, Steinway (Honky Tonk D preset for instance) and Yamaha YC5 model.

Early rock and roll is more likely to have an upright than a concert piano.

You truly just have to consider, the Pianoteq Japanese grand does bare the only genre specific descriptive name: YC5 rock piano!
