My approach to this would be to use the digital piano to send midi messages to Pianoteq to change presets and other configuration options and bypass the laptop keyboard/screen entirely. Pianoteq is already capable of doing this. Of course, you need a keyboard which can send midi messages which many can do. In a pinch you could program Pianoteq to respond to midi notes and use notes at the ends of the keyboard which are rarely played.

I’d like a Performance/Gig Mode for playing with JUST a laptop and digital piano.

1. A customizable “quick access” screen for favorite patches and features.
2. With controls mappable to the QWERTY keyboard.

To simplify the setup to least amount of devices possible (laptop, keyboard, audio interface).

* For more complicated setups, people can already add additional MIDI contollers or use Mainstage/Gig Performer. For example, my current setup is a custom TouchOSC screen on the iPad. But I’d really like to ditch the iPad and just have quick access on the laptop with the QWERTY keyboard mapped to favorite options.
