Via your linked thesis by Michèle Duguay, I was made more aware of how central to this topic Chopin is - I had always estimated that these ideas have been broadly and selectively applied (or overlooked) in the works of so many across the ages but Chopin's music is such an interesting focal point (lacking strict classical training, so am not aware how common or obvious it is to think about these things at present, esp with ubiquitous modern tuning). Thanks again!

The thesis is from Michèle Duguay and is titled "The Influence of Unequal Temperament on Chopin’s Piano

I often wonder how many other Pianoteq people originally came for the period instruments. They're quite special to me.

The historic instrument collection is also what brought me to Pianoteq in the first place and remains my prime reason for supporting its use in a serious way for both pedagogy and performance.  'hope to see its continued support and expansion in subsequent Pianoteq development!

Seeking period piano VSTIs is how I found Pianoteq - really love the collection. I often wonder how many other Pianoteq people originally came for the period instruments. They're quite special to me.

It's the same story for me. Modartt's historical collection is simply superb - I don't think there's anything else that even comes close to matching it.
