Ah thanks so much, unchecking the first preference you mentioned fixed the issue (it was checked by default for some reason).

Hmmm, can't say I noticed this ever happening in Reaper... Perhaps these options might have something to do with it:

Preferences->Media->MIDI->[ ] Snap time signature change events to whole bars when importing MIDI files (even though Pianoteq doesn't have timesig changing facilities)
Preferences->Media->MIDI->[ ] Snap tempo change events to whole beats when importing MIDI files

Does anyone have any experience with MIDI drift/sync issues?

I've found that if I make a recording in Pianoteq, then export the MIDI file and open in Reaper for minor editing (only adjusting velocity of a couple notes), then bring it back into Pianoteq -- the MIDI file is no longer quite the same length. It gets out of sync with the original, drifting irregularly. Perhaps this is an issue with Reaper, but thought I'd ask here since I know Reaper is often recommended on this forum.
