I would like to learn a little more about working with stereo reverb pulses in Pianoteq

Here is my understanding. To add "a sense of space" to a normal 2-channel stereo audio, each channel should be processed individually, so TWO impulses are required at least. And after IR, sound from each single channel will exists in two channels. If you have a audio clip which contains sound only in left channel, using a true-stereo impulse, you will hear the reverbed sound in both two channels. 2×2 means that there are 2 seperate impulses, one for the left and another for the right, and each impulse has 2 channels. True stereo IR works like this: reverb each channel into a STEREO simultaneously, and mix them up. If not worked right, the reverbed sound in each channel will stay in  the same channel where it is from, muchless the sense of space.
