This is where you could route each mic from Pianoteq to a separate output and apply different mic modeling plugins on each of those outputs, rather than slapping just one of them on the whole track.

If, by chance you have access to Waves plug-ins, they have numerous microphone emulations.  If you have the means or if you own a copy of Waves Complete, you may wish to try some of their products on Pianoteq.

However, there’s a collection of vintage microphones at Universal Audio that includes a very good modeling of U47 and C12. There are also many other famous mics.

I think it’s better if microphones are integrated with Pianoteq for several reasons, even if Modartt modeling will never be as successful as that of the UA.
The first reason is that if you have to use more than two microphones of different brands, models and directivity in Pianoteq, and you add a UA microphone on your track, your whole track will have the UA sound. But that's not what you want.

We just finalized a vintage recording test in the 50s Abbey Road’s style, but we had no choice but to use modern Pianoteq microphones.

It would be great if Modartt could model some vintage tube mics like the U47, 251E, C12... what do you think?

A great idea. The more mic models, the better. One thing--I would hope that the models would be created after anyalyzing real mics, not the spectrums presented by the manufactuers in ads.
