It’s true, the character of Frank’s prelude and fugue is very similar to some Scarlatti sonatas, especially in measures 5, 10 & 15.
Scarlatti was also an organist, I believe.

No, Franck was an organist and wrote mainly for the organ.

I’m not a great interprete of Scarlatti, but actually, I chose to play these three sonatas in a '' modern-romantic '' style to highlight the nuances of the Grotrian.

One of the challenges of this recording was to get a natural sound and recreate the atmosphere of a relatively small recording hall. I hope it's successful
I think the most important thing is to make music, whatever the technology used, as long as this technology faithfully reproduces all the nuances of the original instrument. Pianoteq is really great for this!

Had I encountered these Scarlatti Sonata performances, and not being told beforehand this was Pianoteq, I would have assumed this was a studio recording with an analog grand piano, perhaps with a plate reverb added in post-processing, and maybe a slight amount of compressor added so as to keep the transients from exploding beyond -0dB.
There is a lot to be said about the placebo effect in stating these performances were via Pianoteq. "If you tell 'em <that it's Pianoteq>, they will notice. Otherwise, there's no reason to suspect this is not a studio recording."
