The revised mix sounds great, Pianoguy. The bass is clearly audible now, and the piano has not really receded to any substantial extent in the mix. Everything sounds crisp, clear and balanced, and the arrangement and performance are both great.

tort: the preset was a modified Steinway B Bright preset (I'll upload it to the FXP corner) with the main mics moved vertically (higher) and the internal Reverb off (I used Valhalla Room on the mix output).
Also a little external EQ (cuts around 200-250hz) and compression, and that's it. Here's a new mix with the piano volume reduced and bass increased as suggested by Evil Dragon, and a little more Reverb on the overall mix:

Great piece and arrangement, and the Pianoteq Steinway B sounds wonderful in it. I agree with EvilDragon that the bass seems a little diminished or pushed a little too far back in the mix and could come forward a little. But great sound, great recording, great arrangement and mix.

Thanks for listening Lylo, Beto & Mr Evil. I don't play a lot of this style, but really enjoyed working with the Steinway B on the track.

Evil - I agree regarding the mix levels. I was doing some studio session work last week for a singer/guitarist and the engineer (who was also the drummer on the track) had the drums quite prominently in the initial rough mix, which was pointed out by the rest of us!

Really nice job! I would perhaps pull the piano down a few dB, and exchange that for the upright bass. Just personal preference

Nice job. I don't heard some issue in a mix with the previous version, I played on stage with an arranger and it's always ok for me.

Previous versions of Pianoteq were sometimes criticised for being difficult to fit in a mix. Although I'd previously used Pianoteq pianos mainly as solo instruments, I thought I'd share with those interested an excerpt of a piece I played (Antonia Carlos Jobim's 'Wave') to demonstrate how the new Steinway B in Version 6 works in a Jazz trio setting. The Steinway B is great to play in this setting, and gives enough bite on syncopated notes, whilst remaining perfectly even to control under the fingers when laying back on the changes:
