I find that calibrating the keyboard doesn't give me a good result. Fiddling around myself, I usually end up with an elongated "S" with a straight central portion which can be juggled around to best advantage.

If you set your keyboard to horizontal, then you will only get one velocity output so matter how hard or soft you strike the keys. Best to set your keyboard to a linear increasing scale, or whatever 'sounds best' with other software. Though you can easily sketch velocity curves in Pianoteq to correct keyboard issues, if you do that then it's more difficult to take advantage of velocity curves in the presets where they are set in certain ways for creative rather than corrective reasons. Best to correct your velocity curves on your keyboard if possible.

Hello from Germany,

when i want to calibrate my keyboard with the pianoteq Software is there a requirement that i set the velocity curve an key balance to horizontal on my keyboard or can i leave it at lineary increasing ?
