I've found "demo 1" at last - sorry about that. Yes, I *do* hear similar hissing sounds in that demo, especially near the end. It sounds a bit worse when I play the piano though, because the hiss sounds further removed from the piano sound, which is mellower than the percussion sounds in that demo.

Thanks - both sound very nice! After a quick auditon only (without learning how to use either in any depth whatsoever), the first one seems to create more vivid stereo effects, which is something I really like. However, it also seems to produce a slight chorus/flanging effect - something which I'm not hearing in the second one. So, the second one seems more natural.

FWIW one preset where I notice the "hiss" is "L Church 1", and you may well be right. However, it sounds like an artifact to me - it sounds "foreign", and objectionable. I haven't noticed this in any other reverb plugin to date yet.

]]>epicVerb sounds *excellent*, except for one little problem: I can hear a bit of hiss. (maybe it's quantisation noise) I'm using headphones which have a reputation for emphasising highs though.
Note that as good as epicVerb is, it still doesn't have what sounds like distinct "echoes", like some reverbs do. (my impulses for the Alesis hardware unit have these subtle echoes, which I really like) That said, I think epicVerb will do nicely.
