I ran across this VST EQ that sometimes sounds good with PianoTeq. It approaches EQ by having sliders for things like "warmth" and "sheen" instead of specific freqs.

The link to the download:

http://mildonstudios.com/product-eqone.html

Obviously, people may disagree over what terms like "warmth" or "sheen" mean when discussing a piano sound, but the effect here is often worth a listen. Note that this is very different in intention from the native PianoTeq eq, which changes the sound before any parameters are set. This vst eq is a standard eq that changes the sound just before the output.

Probably based on articles such as these:

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec01/a...warmth.asp

http://www.digitalprosound.com/2002/03_...cerpt1.htm

And here's the thread on KVR, where this eq vst was first announced:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=236885
