Presumably my problems were in using only USB power - I brought it back to the shop and they managed to upgrade using an external power supply.
I now also use an external power supply and it also seems stable when saving banks (amongst other functions)

From what I've read at the CME forum, there are lots of people running into problems while flashing the firmware. But some say it's because they did it without a separate power supply for the UF80...did you power it by USB or power cord?

I have recently upgraded the firmware of my CME UF80 keyboard.
Didn't go without problems I must say, actually had to be done at the shop because I ended up with a dead UF in the process, but it's ok now.
It seems that the total sensitivity of the keyboard has changed.
I can play softer and harder than I could before....
I have uploaded an mp3 that I played with it...
