I use my F140R as a midi master keyboard and I'm very satisfied. The action is very close the an acoustic piano. I only mis wooden keys but for that price I’m not complaining!

In general, any hammer action dp as a minimum will do the job so is your Roland. The more the action and overall quality of dp is closer to acoustic the better is feel with VST. Your Roland is good enough to really enjoy.
