I just bought this wonderful harpsichord and am enjoying it's various preset sounds. Looks like I can make full use of it however, unless I upgrade to??  Standard?  Do I have to go to Pro to get all the detailed "bells and whistles?

There is a significant limitation to Pianoteq Stage which is particularly relevant to "historical" instruments such as harpsichords, that is not mentioned anywhere on the comparison chart found here.

It is that Pianoteq Stage can only play in 12-tone equal temperament. You can select a different base pitch other than A=440, but you cannot choose a different temperament.

If you want to play harpsichord, you are going to want to try many different historical temperaments, such as Werkmeister, Valotti, Well-Tempered or Meantone. For that you need Pianoteq Standard or Pro.

I do not know why Modartt has never explained on their website that selecting among different historical temperaments is not a feature available in Pianoteq Stage, while it is a feature available in Pianoteq Standard and Pianoteq Pro. They should add this information to the comparison chart.

Thank you. Yes, the photo of the Ruckers with PRO displayed IS deceptive.  I didn't initially see that it was a Pro display, and thought any version would produce the same features.  A bit disappointing-not ready to upgrade, but love the harpsichord anyway "as is"  in Stage version.

The Stage version differs from Standard and Pro and only has the Output section, as shown here: https://www.pianoteq.com/pianoteq_stage
