I just had a brief talk with Glenn Chandler at www.infiniteresponse.com. The 25 pound folding midi keyboard capable of midi 2.0, etc. is expected to be in stores after January. They will be talking with distributors at NAMM in January.
The keyboard has a different constant force spring keyboard action. I have been waiting to pair this with Pianoteq for over a year. My goal is a highly portable, quality grand piano (no hernias).

So if you have a few £grand to spare, you can be gigging with pianoteq, a VAX77 and a V-rack in 2009.
I use 45 Analog Device DSP chips in my DAW, and when I heard how IR uses the same DSP and MIDI 2.0 specs, it became apparent that these guys aren't just regurgitating more of the same junk.
I do not like the current business models that the big guys follow.
They are in the business for profit.
I like the guys who are in business to be trendsetters of innovation.
Solaris Synth, Soniccore XITE-1 and Infinite Response are all on the same corner. If I want to hear factory brass and see fine Ho's, I can go to the Rompler Room after I play the real McCoys.
