Ah, that was the problem! I updated the add-ons to the newer versions and now i have the littile + button. Thanks!

Hmm. Make sure you have all the latest .ptq files of all add-ons. Some models/add-ons don't support this feature, though.

Yeah, that's what i remember reading in the manual, but there's no such button. I have the standard version, using the latest (5.2.1) There's a little triangle to toggle the keyboard visibility, and on the right there's a ! panic button, but i don't see a + button anywhere.

I worry that in doing so you would create a lot of sympathetic resonances from lower and higher strings that are not part of the original instrument being modeled, thus changing the timbre of the instrument. In many instruments there is some sympathetic resonance, particularly from the lower strings, even if the damper is fully engaged. But it would be fun to experiment with.

However, I want to point out that practically all of the historical instruments in Pianoteq already have a considerably larger range of notes than that of the real-world instrument upon which they have been modeled.

Therefore I'd like the opposite of what you are asking: a setting to restrict the virtual instrument to the actual range of the strings of each real-world instrument, to remove any chance of stray sympathetic resonances.

I remember reading in the manual about a way to use the whole 88 keys on such old instruments (that have parts of the keyboard disalbed on each side) but now i can't find it... Is there a way to do it?
