Thanks again. Yes, just finished plugging the Yamaha directly into the computer sound input and can now get the pianoteq sounds playing though I need to turn all volumes up to get the sound to an adequate level. Maybe I need monitors for my keyboard ....

In order to hear Pianoteq with the piano speakers, you need to send the audio signal from your sound card to a AUX-IN (or LINE-IN) plugs of your piano (not all piano have such plugs).

When connecting AUX-IN and USB, you may have ground loops (and a nasty noise). I get rid of these noise using a plain MIDI link, but there also exist ground loop isolators which have to be included in the audio link.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I sort of understand that now; need to hook up the Yamaha directly to the soundcard or, wherever, to monitor what I'm playing on the keyboard, through the computer speakers, even though I am running pianoteq. Will try that though it seems like I still wouldn't hear the pianoteq selected instrument, just the selected sound from my Yamaha.

Would like to hear the pianoteq selected sound (what I'm recording) when I play my Yamaha.

If I understand, you have the sound of Pianoteq, but not the sounds of the Yamaha?
If so, that's normal...
The usb connection between the yamaha and the computer is not on audio connection. By using this connection, you just use the yamaha as a controller to play Pianoteq. So you control Pianoteq from Yamaha.
What do you want to do?

I have a Yamaha keyboard with a USB connect to my computer and a demo copy of pianoteq.

Pianoteq "test" sound plays on my computer speakers as do the pianoteq screen keyboard keys. Pianoteq also recognizes my Yamaha keyboard - I can see my keyboard notes show up in the various displays in Pianoteq as I play them. But, Pianoteq does not play/sound my Yamaha keyboard through my computer speakers. Have the ASIO4ALL driver.
