I will vouch for the fact that the spectrum per-note-editing does indeed interpolate for spaces between notes not edited. I have experimented extensively with this feature and it is quite remarkable.

I'm positive that somebody on Reaper forums can write you a JS script that is similar to key zone splitting but which copies CC64 messages to all zones. The scripting area is quite active these days, so this could solve your troubles soon.

Personally, I do these kinds of things directly on my MIDI controller (Kurzweil PC3K8). Kurzweils historically have excellent MIDI controller capabilities, so it was a natural choice for me.

BTW, you do know that you don't exactly have to edit partials note per note? Pianoteq interpolates between the keys you have tweaked.

Actually the more I think about it, the more it seems that this would really mess with Pianoteq. Pianoteq needs to have all the notes and pedaling in the same instance for the modeling to be as accurate as possible since it does take into account the interaction between the notes. Hmm.

I guess I'd better just wait for Modartt to implement some kind of per-note tone control like I'd love to see. I'm exhausted from editing the spectrum profile note by note. A simple tone control, bright to dark, that could be adjusted on a curve across the keyboard just like all the other sliders can would be exactly what I need.

That plugin gets me closer, but now the pedaling is only routed with the first zone. There is no pedaling going to any other zones. I guess I would somehow need to be able to specify that CC64 should transmit to all channels? Any ideas?

Hi all,

I hope someone familiar with Reaper can help me. I want to split my keyboard into 3 or 4 zones to send to different tracks. These tracks will each have an instance of Pianoteq. (I want to apply different EQ to different registers.)

I figured out how to do this with the JS MIDI note filter plugin, BUT... the tracks do not receive any pedaling data. So I can get the 3 instances of Pianoteq working with the 3 different zones of the keyboard. That works great. But there is no sustain pedal function.

How to fix this? I'm excited I had the idea to try this because I always wanted to warm up the bass more than the treble, and I think this is the way!
