Thanks for the worthwhile replies!

With 4'and 2'pitch I meant ADDING them, not just "transpose".

As I am using Reaper already, I will do some experiments with 2 instances.

But can the second virtual keyboard really be assigned to a different Midi channel?? As it is, it seems to me only COSMETIC !!

As complement, don't forget that you have a dedicated Lute Stop Pedal which is assigned to the second pedal from the left in the Blanchet and Grimaldi harpsichords (you can assign it to any pedal via a right click on the pedal and selecting the pedal in the menu).

If you need to do so, you may wish to use more than one instantiation of Pianoteq, but assign each part to received different midi channels. Then you will need to either split your keyboard to send two independent channels, or use two keyboards.

Regarding 4' and/or 2' pitch, one needs only to set your keyboard to input +12 and/or +24 midi notes.

In the case of harpsichord models, should one wish to invoke a lute stop, you might try increasing the soundboard's impedance, such that it will dissipate the sound more quickly. Just be sure to assign this changed model to yet a different midi channel, unless you wish to perform the entire piece with the same lute stop.

It depends on the type of harpsichord modelled. The Blanchet should probably have more registers if it is the one shown in the picture.

Am I right, that the calvecimbel is not fully implemented in Pianoteq?? I mean the types having double keybaords, and/or different stops ( 4 ft or even 2 ft).

I do not see, how to deal with this.......
