Yes, that's nice )) From my experience, I played with some high sampling rate settings, though I've got a Stage version you can set the high sampling rate on the hardware side anyway. I was thinking about maybe getting a bit less latency theoretically. And I've got that note drops with this higher rates. Disabling the Overload detection solved the mutes and I was not able to notice any drawbacks from that.

@thono2007 - I notice from your signature that you still did not get a Bluethner - please get it, you'll not regret )))

I'm just speculating, but maybe you have a heavy CPU load in this "second". In case you have checked "CPU Overload Detection" in the Options/Perf. the software might drop one oder more notes in order to recover.

Maybe you should try with less polyphony or more samples. Again just an idea.

However, like I said, it happens only spuriously, typically once a day if I'm "lucky" or very active rather. I did use Reaper instead of Ableton for a while, and during that period I didn't notice any issues. However, after switching back to Ableton it took a while before I noticed the issue again, probably because I switched to rehearsing a piece which I'm much less proficient with than the previous one (therefore playing really slowly).

If I were to try another keyboard, I'd have to keep it for some time, as per my explanation above. It's anything but simple in my experience so far.

I have this problem when playing my Kawai VPC1 keyboard that notes are sometimes muted. It happens only sporadically, in my most active periods maybe once a day. I am using Pianoteq 5.1.3 64-bit within Ableton Live 9.1.6 on Windows 8.1. Let me know if I should provide more info.

Has anyone here experienced this sort of problem before? Is it likely that the problem is within the keyboard itself, or do you think it's software-related? I'm currently in touch with Kawai through their Norwegian distributor to try to find a solution. Any help would be much appreciated!
