That's a pretty fine solution, though quite expensive, and you'd still have to drag the surface pro with you everytime since it's a multifunctional device, not necessarily dedicated for use with pianoteq. Perhaps a more permanent solution would be to prefer, for instance:

1. A small new audio device with Pianoteq installed that fits to your midi keyboard somehow via usb which has an audio outport.
-------->2. A new digital piano, or midi-keyboard with Pianoteq installed inside.

Actually Crumar (or the new Crumar) did this using an Embedded Windows board.  Though not in the link it had Pianoteq.  Later they added a faster computer board model a 'Pro' version for those who wanted a sampler capability too but I believe it came with Pianoteq

Well the other thread was getting old, and the title wasn't really any specific, so maybe this thread would gain more attention, and make Modartt react. To me it seems we are many people in need of a more practical solution

The more threads on this topic the merrier.  It's something that's urgently needed.   Modartt has to do it themselves, or team up with a manufacture that can.  I'm a citizen against extra wires and devices.

I want to use Pianoteq for rehearsals and live use, the only problem I see is having to drag my personal laptop everytime we rehearse or play live, which seems very inconvenient to me.

Well, so far i've read about people trying to attach mini pc's to their midi-keyboard in order to use Pianoteq as a live instrument. That's pretty interesting, and I though about the same idea, maybe a device you insert into the midi keyboard with pianoteq installed. Alternatively a keyboard with Pianoteq installed inside somehow?

I'd like to hear how you manage to use Pianoteq in live situations, and if the demand for a more "live-friendly" Pianoteq solution is needed. What are your thoughts?
