Greg, my "dream" is simple, and based on the following premise:
When you play a trumpet or a flute or a guitar, you carry your sound with you. Us pianists can't do that.

But imagine the next best thing:
You walk into a jam session where a keyboard is already installed. Take a "pianoteq box" out of your pocket, plug it in, and start playing with your own sound.

P.S. I did take up the trumpet as a 2nd instrument many years ago ... partly because of this reason, but mostly because I adored the music of Miles Davis :-)

Possible at low quality/polyphony settings (set at 11khz internal, 22khz sample, 16 or 32 voices, bigger buffers, etc). The specs say that CPU can burst up to 1.83 but that's usually in scenarios where 1 core is idle at 500mhz letting the 2nd core exceed thermal limits. But because Pianoteq does use multiple cores, expect 1.33ghz to be the speed in operation.

From previous forum threads, 2ghz is probably the minimum speed needed for Bay Trail as there's already been poor experiences with tablets using 1.33ghz Bay Trails.

Seriously, this Intel Baytrail based HDMI stick runs windows 8.1,
so it should be able to run Pianoteq.
