So I set up the levels ok now. Beautiful sound from the monitors but when playing back the recording all the notes sound clipped. The waveform is not flattened. I am at a loss now as to what the problem is.

I have set it up and the output from the mac runs through Studio Pro into two studio monitors which gives me the beautiful sound I want.
When I record it seems all the notes are clipped. On another forum it was suggested that I lower the input levels from the vst. Can someone guide me how to do this or suggest another solution.
