Hello everyone.

I just got Pianoteq and I have to admit: this thing is awesome!! I am a classically trained pianist, although my degrees are in Theory/Composition, and I have been playing for over 20 years. This is simply the best I've come across!

Ok, that being said, I really need some help from anyone out there who has been using this program for a while and may be able to assist me...please...

I was listening to the "coti-rotatore.mp3" on the audio demos page, and I am curious as to how I can get a similiar tuning. Of course, I don't want to be identical, but overall it sounds like the first few notes of that piece (G-Bflat) are tuned differently; in fact, it sounds as if each different NOTE is tuned a certain way, not just an overall tuning temperament. How can I have, say, one note be slightly microtuned but leave other notes unchanged? I have been able to change the overall tuning of the entire sample, but how can I change each tone to a unique tuning? I am not sure if this is confusing, but I simply want to make the piano sound 'out of tune' on some notes/octaves, but leave other notes 'normal'. Listen to the mp3, please....see how only a few notes stick out as 'tuned differently'....not every tone? Please, help me get this....I've read through all the materials I have here, read the forums briefly, and asked a few friends....I wanted to make sure I tried my best before posting here...Can someone please help??

http://www.pianoteq.com/audio/coti-rotatore.mp3

Thank you so much!!

F

Note* I got a nice overall 'out of tune' feel using this preset that I modified a lot....but mainly just the black keys (as expected) are most noticeable....any advice on how to get a nice Lou Harrison/Morton Feldman "out of tune" piano/coti-rotatore sound, please? You'll make my week!! thanks again....
