In my experience there is a major difference between the Hamburg and New York Steinways. I have played lots of each! The Hamburg pianos have a much brighter, clearer tone. It makes sense since they are catering to the European market that is more familiar with that kind of piano. I believe their manufacturing practices are quite different between the two factories.

As far as I know, they are (parts of the same company). The New York manufactory supplies the instruments for the American market, while the Hamburg manufactory supplies the instruments for the rest of the world, more or less. As far as I know there actually are some musicians who claim that a Hamburg model D and a New York model D sound subtly but noticeably different, but unavoidable slight differences between years and batches are more likely.

Are the american and german Steinway factories separated business today, like competitive one to each other?

I went on a day-long guided tour of the Steinway factory here in NYC once. One of the most enjoyable days of my life! It was really wonderful. And they even gave me a letter with the information on the exact day my piano left the factory and who was the first owner!

I refered about the square piano be out tune, built after the Family imigrate to USA.

"1) In 1836 Heinrich Englehard Steinway built his first piano in the kitchen of his home in Seesen, Germany which is commonly refered to as the “Kitchen” piano. The piano is currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art."

To be exact, this is a (the only?) replica of the famous Steinway No 1, or the 'kitchen piano', built by a Belgian instrument builder. And yes, it kind of does sound a bit out of tune, does it.
