Hi Rachel,

I like your presets, keep going. To my wooden ears, the most noticeable quality is the mellow bass, which mainly is due to a reduced hammer hardness, I take it? The bass is also noticeably less dominant, I think. The rest are rather subtle things, difficult to describe, but all in all a very nice preset. If I would have to put a word to it, 'warm' would indeed be it, I guess. There's only one thing I have to change locally: the strong reverb doesn't mix too well with speakers, but that's an easy fix.

I just posted a new FXP. I think I'll just name them "Work in Progress" with the date from now on. I can't come up with names, and like I've said before, every time I post one, I want to keep working on it.

I feel like I'm getting much closer now to the sound I am looking for. Warm bass and clear, bell-like treble. If you have the PRO version and can see all my note edits, you will think I am totally insane. I feel like I have to go in and dial down certain unpleasant overtones on almost every bass note. I played around with strike point, but it was actually easier to go note by note in the spectrum editor. I also enhanced the fundamental and octave harmonics quite a bit to get that clearer sound. Direct note duration too.

I also came up with a different mic placement, made some changes to the reverb, hammer hardness, etc.

Geez, I guess I changed EVERYTHING! But I tried to be kind of conservative. Of course, like I said, work in progress.

I would love feedback...
