I'm having a lot of fun playing around with the new microphone system (as well as the new pianos, of course) however I started to notice something. The ability to pitch the microphone for any mic type (that isn't omni) doesn't seem to make a difference for a lot of the instruments. In fact, changing out a microphone doesn't make a difference, regardless of its pickup pattern (they all sound like omni's).

I've noticed this for all of the KIViR collection, the Bells, C1, M1, C2, C3, M3, and the K1. I don't own any optional instruments, but all of the demos act the same as well (except for the YC5, Bluthner, U4, and the Kremsegg Collections).

So basically only the v5 (and the D4v4 oddly) instruments take advantage of this new mic modeling? Is this because of the new modeling for the surrounding air? And I suppose the update to the KIViR will have this new mic modeling?
